Latashia Key ( Mat Certified Teacher)

The love for being active and having fun is Latashia's first priority for herself! In doing so, she shares the same passion with the individuals she works with daily. As an instructor, she believes in being patient, explaining proper mechanics and keeping the classes exciting yet challenging!

Latashia has been an avid fitness professional for over 20 years as a Fitness Coordinator, Aquatic Director, health coach, PEP Grant Fitness Manager, Track and Field coach and fitness/wellness instructor. She has taught a variety of classes which include cycle classes, water exercise, Arthritis aquatics, learn to swim to children and adults, mat Pilates, springboard, reformer, and barre to name a few.

Since returning to competitive track and field in 2009, 14 years after her collegiate career, she still loves it and her main events include the 3000m, 5000m, and Cross-Country. The mile, 1500 and 800 are events she has done well in but realizes she needs to focus on her best events first. Being able to feel and see the benefits of Pilates as a participant and as an instructor has helped in her running goals. Lastly, other interests include creating youth programs, educating and speaking to students about their future and their career choices, reading, anything related to the arts and spending time with friends. She does love to talk and has a lot of stories of her many adventures from traveling especially abroad!
